Highlights from 2014

Here at Greendog, we are delighted to be ending 2014 on a high, after a hugely successful 12 months, which has seen us celebrate our 9th anniversary, land a series of high profile contracts and scoop the coveted Creative Industries Business of the Year award at the inaugural Derby Telegraph Business Awards.

Greendog wins 'Creative Business of the Year' at the Derby Telegraph Business Awards 2014

The awards, which took place at The Roundhouse on Pride Park in Derby, recognise achievement and innovation in Derbyshire and highlight those individuals and businesses that are helping boost the economy and making a positive contribution to the local community.

Commenting on scooping the award, founder and director Jonathan Gray said:

“Winning the title of Creative Business of the Year at the Derby Telegraph Business Awards 2014 was a tremendous achievement and is testament to our hard work and dedication in pushing the boundaries in the digital creative sector and creating unique digital partnerships,” added Jonathan.

Greendog appointed by Fashion Retailer

Another high note of the year was our appointment by London-based, fashion retailer, Goodhood to develop a new digital strategy for the company.

We are working with urban fashion store, Goodhood, on a detailed new digital strategy, which willmaximize the business benefits of digital initiatives and strengthen the company’s online presence and reputation within the fashion retail industry.

Since the company opened its doors in the back streets of Hoxton, East London, in 2007, it has grown to become an industry-leading online clothing store, carrying some of the world’s most prestigious clothing brands including Norse Projects, DKNY, Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garcon, Neighborhood, Perks & Mini, Soulland and Woodwood.

Greendog spreads Christmas cheer across the globe

Our recent Christmas competition was a complete success, attracting more than 1,250 entries worldwide!

We gave people the chance to win one of a hundred prizes during our first ever 12 Days of Christmas competition. Prizes included a £50 intu shopping voucher, Pizza Express and QUAD cinema vouchers, a photo shoot at Firefly and lots of chocolates!

Whilst the competition has been a massive hit with Friar Gate Studios’ tenants and other local businesses, it also attracted entries from as far afield as California, Paris and Turkey.

Commenting on the success of the Christmas competition, creative director Laura Parry said:

“Our 12 days of Christmas competition, was a simple, but effective way to spread a little Christmas cheer and conclude a hugely successful year.

“Not only was it a huge success amongst many local businesses, we got a total of 22 entries from outside the UK, which is a tremendous way of spreading the word about Greendog outside of our normal marketing channels.

“We hope everyone that played along had a lot of fun and would like to thank our friends at Bean Caffé for handing out all the prizes,” added Laura.
